Grossi, 54, faces one count of being an authority figure who solicited and engaged in a romantic relationship with a minor. He was ordered held on $5,000 bond and will be required to wear a GPS monitor if he is released from jail. It is unclear if he has acquired the services of an attorney.
Christopher Mohr of Weston, Florida was fatally struck in a hit-and-run accident early on New Year’s Day. He is survived by his wife of 26 years and two children. Investigators are still searching for the driver and urge anyone with information to come forward.
According to Broward Sheriff’s Office, Mohr, 50, was cycling a mile east of the Indian Trace Intersection on a bike lane on State Road 84 some time after 7:30 a.m. He was reportedly struck from behind by a driver who fled the scene of the accident. Fire rescue workers rushed Mohr to Broward Health Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
David Ralston, a Florida International University (FIU) professor from Weston, Florida was arrested on Thursday for allegedly sexually assaulting a semi-conscious housekeeper. Investigators claim that the entire incident was captured on Ralston’s home security cameras.
Ralston, 69, was booked into Broward Main Jail and faces charges for sexual assault on a helpless victim. News sources did not specify if bond has been set for Ralston or whether he has acquired the services of a defense attorney.
Michel Chatman of Weston, Florida is facing a vehicular homicide charge for a crash in July of 2015 that killed bicyclist Michael Caine. Broward Judge John Hurley has imposed restrictions on Chatman’s driving and set bond at $30,000.
The alleged crash took place on July 17 last year along Bonaventure Boulevard near Duval Court. Chatman, 31, was driving a red 1991 Toyota MR2 when he allegedly struck Caine, 50, at around 5:30 p.m.
