Jessica Araujo of Miami-Dade, Florida was arrested on Wednesday morning for her alleged involvement in an April DUI car crash that killed Naji El-Kadi. Araujo, 25, faces multiple charges including DUI manslaughter, DUI causing bodily injury, reckless vehicular homicide, and possession of cocaine. She is being held at Turner Gilford Knight Correctional Center in lieu of a $80,000 bond. News sources did not specify a lawyer for Araujo.
According to the arrest report, the alleged car crash occurred at around 1:30 a.m. on April 21 somewhere along Southwest 127th Avenue. Araujo was purportedly speeding south in a 2011 Hyundai Sonata when she ran a red light and crashed into a Toyota Prius driven by El-Kadi. The force of the collision pushed the two vehicles into a Toyota Corolla driven by Manuel Suquet-Martinez.
