The seven defendants named in the complaint are Michael Lacey, 69, of Paradise Valley, Arizona; James Larkin, 68, of Paradise Valley, Arizona; Scott Spear, 67, of Scottsdale, Arizona; John “Jed” Brunst, 66, of Phoenix, Arizona; Daniel Hyer, 49, of Dallas, Texas; Andrew Padilla, 45, and Joye Vaught, 37, of Addison, Texas.
Florida attorney Andrew Spark was arrested on December 17 for allegedly exposing himself to and having sex with female inmates at Pinellas County Jail.
Spark, 55, was charged with indecent exposure, soliciting for prostitution, and possession of contraband in a detention facility. He posted bond for all three charges. It is unclear if he has hired an attorney.
University of Miami students Maury Noun and Acacia Friedman, and Florida International University student Samara Pamela Charlotin were arrested in Carol Gables by undercover police officers for their alleged involvement in a high-priced prostitution sting.
Charlotin, 19, of Miami is being charged with prostitution and drug offenses after police reportedly found an oxycodone pill and a small amount of marijuana in her wallet. Friedman, 23, of San Diego is also being charged with prostitution. Noun, 21, was identified as their pimp and is being charged with aiding prostitution and related offenses. The press did not name attorneys for the trio.
Kendrick Busby, a bailiff for the main Broward County Sheriff’s Office, is accused of soliciting oral sex from a prostitute and then allegedly stabbing her when she asked for money. Busby faces sexual battery and second-degree murder charges. He was released from jail on Tuesday after posting a $30,000 bail bond.
