Joselyn Lopez of North Lauderdale, Florida was taken into police custody on October 26 for allegedly causing a car crash over a year ago that led to the death Christopher Sheehan and injured Jacob Snowhite.

Lopez, 30, faces eight charges, including DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide, reckless driving and causing serious bodily harm. During a bond court hearing on Friday, a judge set her bond at $47,000 and ordered her not to drive a vehicle under any circumstances. If she manages to post bail, Lopez is to be placed on house arrest with an ankle monitor and will have to submit to weekly drug and alcohol testing.

Nancy James of North Lauderdale, Florida was injured after she was body slammed and thrown into a pool by a 16-year-old for trying to control an unauthorized party. Video footage of the incident shows James, 68, getting picked up by the 16-year-old boy and then slammed onto the ground before he dragged her into the pool.

The 16-year-old, whose name is withheld because of his age, faces one charge of battery on a person 65 years of age or older. He reportedly turned himself in at a Broward Sheriff’s Office station on Monday evening with his mother and a lawyer. He was arrested and taken to Broward Regional Juvenile Facility.

Nadia Pierre-Louis of North Lauderdale, Florida was arrested on Tuesday for her alleged connection to a hit-and-run crash that led to the death of Jay Edelstein of Fort Lauderdale. Pierre-Louis, 25, faces one count of failure to stop and remain at an accident involving a death.

She was booked into Broward Main Jail and ordered held in lieu of a $250,000 bond by Broward Judge Michael Davis. The judge also ordered her to surrender her passport and green card because she might be a flight risk. It is unclear if she has acquired the services of an attorney.

Brandon Phillip Forbes of North Lauderdale, Florida was arrested for alleged kidnapping, sexual assault, and battery, along with Raiza Rosado who was arrested and charged with kidnapping.

According to an arrest report from the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Forbes, 34, was arrested for allegedly luring, kidnapping, and sexually assaulting a woman in his North Lauderdale home. Rosado, 23, was arrested for aiding Forbes with the alleged kidnapping. The report did not list an attorney for the pair.
