Miller, 45, faces 20 counts of bank fraud, one count of access device fraud, and one count of aggravated identity theft. He was arrested in Syracuse, New York on unrelated identity theft charges on May 31. Sources say he is going to be transferred to Florida for his arraignment. The press did not name an attorney for him.

Derrick-Wiggins-235x300Derrick Wiggins was arrested on July 21 for allegedly sexually assaulting a female tourist in Miami Beach, Florida. Wiggins, 30, is charged with sexual battery and is being held on $100,000 bond. It is unclear if he has acquired legal representation.

According to the arrest report, the alleged assault occurred at 8:30 p.m. near the Kantina restaurant in the 800 block of Ocean Drive in South Beach. The victim was reportedly having dinner with her friends at the restaurant when they first saw Wiggins. She later told police that she “felt sorry” for Wiggins as he was confronted by an unknown diner who rudely told him to leave. The victim asked the man to leave Wiggins alone and go back to his dinner.

Angel-Cuesta-300x225Red South Beach Hotel front-desk clerk Angel Cuesta was arrested for his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run crash that caused the death of a pedestrian in Miami Beach, Florida. Cuesta faces charges for leaving the scene of an accident involving a death. The press did not list an attorney for him.

According to the arrest report, the alleged crash occurred at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday at 38th and Collins Avenue. Cuesta reportedly took a 2017 Chevrolet Cruz from the hotel’s valet station to buy a Red Bull at a Walgreens on 41st and Pine Tree Drive.

Sawicki-and-Retzer-300x204Cape Coral Mayor Marni Sawicki confirmed on Monday that she was the victim of domestic abuse at Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach that led to the arrest of her ex-husband Kenneth Duane Retzer. The names of abuse victims are usually redacted in arrest reports.

Retzer was arrested and charged with domestic battery by strangulation. Jail records did not name an attorney for him.

Elia-Soto-240x300Elia Soto was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly causing a hit-and-run crash that severely injured Miami Beach defense lawyer Naphtali Hertz Wacks.

Soto, 44, is being charged with reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident involving serious bodily injury. He is being held in lieu of a $30,000 bond and must remain on house arrest with a GPS monitor if he is able to post bail. News sources did not name an attorney for Soto.
