Broward Sheriff’s Deputy Leon Campbell was jailed on October 19 for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl.

Campbell, 37, is charged with lewd or lascivious battery and sexual activity with a minor. Records show he was jailed on Thursday and released on $15,000 bond the following day. It is unclear if he has hired an attorney.

Porsha Session, a Broward County Public Schools elementary teacher, was arrested on February 27 for allegedly obstructing a drug investigation.

She faces one charge of obstructing an official proceeding and was released on Tuesday after posting a $260,000 bond. News sources did not name an attorney for Session.

According to the federal indictment, Session, 31, is a relative of a Lauderhill police detective who was working on a drug investigation along with other Lauderhill police officers, Homeland Security, and DEA agents.

Miracle Griffin of Pompano Beach, Florida was killed in an accident last Sunday while riding on the back of an ATV driven by Chauncey Edwards in Pompano Beach. According to Broward Sheriff’s Office, Edwards, 19, was illegally driving the ATV west at the intersection of NE 17th Court and NE Second Terrace.

Edwards reportedly reached the intersection at the same time as a Mercury Sable that was coming from the north. The driver of the vehicle didn’t see the ATV and continued driving. Edwards swerved left to avoid crashing into a vehicle, but the abrupt change of direction threw him and Griffin, 19, off the ATV.

A Lauderhill mother and her two children had to be hospitalized with serious injuries after a hit-and-run driver pushed them off the road and caused them to crash into a tree. The names of the woman, 35, and her two kids (aged 4 and 8) have not yet been released.

According to Lauderhill Police and Fire Rescue, the crash took place near Pine Island Road and Commercial Boulevard a little before 11 a.m. on January 14. The woman was driving a BMW when a dark-colored vehicle police described as a “multi-seat, limousine-style bus” purportedly performed an illegal U-turn in front of her. This forced her to swerve out of the way and crash into a tree, sources allege.
