Ajqui, 39, is being charged with vehicular homicide, DUI manslaughter, driving without a license causing death, and DUI damage to person/property. He was arrested after he was released from St. Mary’s Medical Center on June 15. He is being held at Palm Beach County Jail. It is unclear if he has acquired the services of an attorney.
Two paramedics were killed last week after their ambulance crashed in Jupiter, Florida. They were identified as Paul Besaw, 36, and Lahiri Garcia, 51. Both men worked for American Medical Response (AMR).
According to the police report, the crash occurred at around 3 a.m. on May 25 outside Colonial Plaza on a section of Indiantown Road. Garcia and Besaw were driving to the AMR station on Indian Creek Drive after dropping off a patient at a nearby hospital. They were alone in the ambulance at the time of crash.
Pro golfer Tiger Woods was arrested on Monday for allegedly driving while under the influence in Jupiter, Florida. Woods, 41, was charged with a DUI and was held at Palm Beach County Jail. He was released on his own recognizance four hours later, jail records show.
According to the arrest report, Woods was arrested at around 3 a.m. on Monday morning after he was pulled over on Military Trail, south of Indian Creek Parkway. He was booked into jail at 7:18 a.m. and released at 10:50 a.m.
AutoNation executive Elaine May of Pompano Beach, Florida was killed on March 20 in a Fort Lauderdale car crash.
According to Fort Lauderdale police, the crash occurred at NW 15th Avenue near Lockhart Stadium at 7:20 p.m. last Monday. May was driving a Nissan Maxima south when an Infiniti G35 traveling west on West Commercial Boulevard crashed into her vehicle. May died at the scene. It is unclear if the other driver was injured.
Retired police officer James Campbell of Jupiter, Florida was arrested on charges of simple assault, criminal mischief, and aggravated assault after he allegedly kicked in a restaurant door and injured an unnamed truck driver.
Campbell, 51, was ordered held in lieu of a $7,000 bond by Circuit Judge Joseph Marx during a hearing last Thursday. The judge also ordered Campbell to have no contact with the people involved in the case. It is unclear if he has bonded out of jail.
