Mendez, 35, was reportedly employed as the IT administrator at Calvary Chapel and Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale.

He faces seven counts of possession of child pornography. He is being held on $52,500 bond at the Broward County Jail. The press did not name an attorney for him.

Miami-Dade police announced the arrest of ten people with ages that range from 14 years old to 57 years old on child pornography charges. The arrests were made as part of an investigation to fight the distribution and promotion of child pornography on the Internet.

Those arrested are an unnamed 14-year-old minor; Carlos Amasifuen, 18; Dinote Black, 19; Taylor Dansby, 21; James Chatelian, 23; Matthew Grenet, 23; Antonio Byrd, 28; Jorge Gomez-Hernandez, 33; Yenray Pereira, 37; and James Abravaya, 57.

Gene Martin Lumsden of Fort Lauderdale, Florida was arrested on July 18 for allegedly using numerous internet connections throughout the city to transmit child pornography images.

Lumsden, 47, is being charged with promoting sexual performance by a minor, computer pornography involving a child, and transmission of child porn on an electronic device. He posted $32,500 bail and was released from jail on Thursday. The judge who set his bond and terms of release forbade him from using the internet in any way and contacting any minors. The press did not name an attorney for Lumsden.

Robert Craig Adamson of Boynton Beach, Florida was arrested on June 29 for allegedly downloading and viewing several child pornography images.

Adamson, 30, faces 8 counts of transmitting and 4 counts of possession of child pornography. He is being held in Palm Beach County Jail and his bond was set at $60,000 on Saturday morning by Judge Jaimie Goodman. The press did not name an attorney for him.
