Ernslatta LaFrance of Miami Gardens, Florida was arrested on March 28 for allegedly attacking a teenager twice and stealing her phone because the teen reportedly attacked LaFrance’s daughter. LaFrance, 30, is being charged with strong-arm burglary, aggravated battery, and child abuse.

LaFrance was held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $38,000 bond and has since been released. News sources did not name an attorney for LaFrance.

According to the arrest report, the alleged incident took place at Coral City Senior High School. LaFrance reportedly showed up at the school searching for one of her daughter’s classmates. The classmate had allegedly been in a fight with her daughter at the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition. Sources did not elaborate on the cause of the altercation, nor did they mention whether either teenager was hurt.

Eight-grade science teacher Saryna Parker of South Dade Middle School was arrested on March 19 for allegedly causing a rear-end crash while driving under the influence with her 10-year-old son in the car. Parker, 43, also purportedly kicked the police officer who arrested her in the groin.

Parker faces multiple charges, including DUI, DUI with property damage, child abuse, and battery of a police officer. She was booked into jail and was later released on an unspecified bond. News sources did not say if she has hired an attorney.

Former NFL player Scott Mersereau of Boca Raton, Florida was arrested on February 18 for allegedly punching a 15-year-old teenage boy he accused of throwing eggs at his house. Mersereau, 51, faces a child abuse charge. He was taken to Palm Beach County Jail and was released on Sunday after posting a $3,000 bond. It is unclear if he has acquired the services of an attorney.

According to the arrest report, the alleged abuse occurred on Saturday at a neighborhood in the 1600 block of SW 6th Avenue. Mersereau’s house was egged on Friday. The following day, the former NFL player reportedly went to the teen’s home down the street and accused him of throwing the eggs. It is unclear whether Mersereau saw the victim throwing the eggs or had some other reason to suspect that he was the perpetrator.

Alexis Kirk TorresU.S. Army Sergeant Alexis Kirk Torres was arrested on Monday for allegedly soliciting underage children to engage in a commercial sex act. Torres, 26, was caught in an FBI sting operation that purportedly led him to Davie in Broward County with candy, cash, lubricant and condoms that he intended to use on two young girls, aged 12 and 14.

Torres was not aware that the meeting he was going to was a sting operation and the man he was communicating with was actually an undercover federal agent. He is to remain in jail until a bond hearing is held to decide if he is eligible for bond. News sources did not specify an attorney for Torres.
