Ryan Basdeo of Pompano Beach, Florida was arrested on Tuesday for his involvement in the DUI crash that injured his wife, Alana Battoo Basdeo, and killed his 3-year-old daughter, Sophia.
Basdeo, 29, is charged with vehicular homicide, aggravated manslaughter of a child, DUI manslaughter, DUI with serious bodily injury to another, reckless driving causing serious bodily injury, and two counts of DUI property damage.
Yolexy Cuellar Perez of Palm Springs, Florida was arrested on July 22 after he allegedly struck and killed George Dietel of Palm Springs while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Perez, 36, is charged with DUI manslaughter. He is being held at Palm Beach County Jail on $150,000 bond and will be placed on house arrest if he is released. The press did not name an attorney for him.
Sean Michael Harris of Fort Lauderdale, Florida was arrested for his involvement in a car crash that killed Crystal Blazek, 34, of Oakland Park.
Harris, 27, is charged with reckless driving and vehicular homicide. He was released from jail after paying a $15,200 bond. It is unclear if he has hired an attorney.
During his first court appearance was on May 23, prosecutor Ross Weiner said Harris was driving at speeds as high as 120 mph seconds before the impact.
“At the time of the crash the defendant was driving 106 mph and he didn’t even attempt to brake until less than one second before the crash,” Weiner said.
