Pablo Lyle was arrested on Monday morning by Miami police and charged with battery. He posted $5,000 bond Monday and was given permission to fly back to Mexico. Attorney information was not immediately available.
Former police officer John Kiernan was allegedly caught on camera knocking out a valet at Ocean Sky Resort & Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on July 25 over a parking ticket dispute. Kiernan was reportedly not arrested or charged with a crime despite evidence of assault.
The surveillance footage shows Kiernan, who had parked his vehicle at the resort, walk up to the valet, identified as Rodolfo Rodriguez, and punch him in the jaw after a short conversation. Rodriguez, who is seen casually standing with his hands in his pockets, falls to the ground and reportedly remained unconscious for several minutes.
Elena Accetturo of Broward County, Florida was arrested on July 21 after she allegedly caused an accident while under the influence in West Palm Beach. The crash left her husband with a shattered leg.
Accetturo, 29, faces charges for possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, DUI with property damage, driving with a suspended license, and battery on an officer after she allegedly punched a deputy in the stomach. She was held at Palm Beach County Jail and was released on Tuesday after posting a $12,000 bond. It is unclear if she has acquired an attorney.
Miami police officer Alexi Figueroa was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly ordered a 19-year-old woman into his patrol car, then kissed her and fondled her breasts without her permission. Figueroa, 27, was off-duty at the time, but was still wearing his uniform.
Former Tequesta police chief Gerald “Pete” Pitocchelli was arrested on Monday after he allegedly kicked a woman, jail records indicate. Pitocchelli, 59, faces a battery charge. He was held at Palm Beach County Jail and was released on Tuesday after a hearing before Judge Dina Keever-Agrama. It is unclear if he has hired an attorney.
The judge placed Pitocchelli on supervised release and ordered him to take anger-management counseling. She also ordered him not to have any contact with the victim or the juvenile who witnessed the alleged fight on Sunday night and called 911.
