Former police officer John Kiernan was allegedly caught on camera knocking out a valet at Ocean Sky Resort & Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on July 25 over a parking ticket dispute. Kiernan was reportedly not arrested or charged with a crime despite evidence of assault.

The surveillance footage shows Kiernan, who had parked his vehicle at the resort, walk up to the valet, identified as Rodolfo Rodriguez, and punch him in the jaw after a short conversation. Rodriguez, who is seen casually standing with his hands in his pockets, falls to the ground and reportedly remained unconscious for several minutes.

Ernslatta LaFrance of Miami Gardens, Florida was arrested on March 28 for allegedly attacking a teenager twice and stealing her phone because the teen reportedly attacked LaFrance’s daughter. LaFrance, 30, is being charged with strong-arm burglary, aggravated battery, and child abuse.

LaFrance was held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $38,000 bond and has since been released. News sources did not name an attorney for LaFrance.

According to the arrest report, the alleged incident took place at Coral City Senior High School. LaFrance reportedly showed up at the school searching for one of her daughter’s classmates. The classmate had allegedly been in a fight with her daughter at the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition. Sources did not elaborate on the cause of the altercation, nor did they mention whether either teenager was hurt.

Lawrence Norkunas of Davie, Florida was arrested for allegedly assaulting his neighbors Tina Cerreta and Denys Garcia with pepper spray on December 18. The purported attack caused chemical burns that sent Cerreta to the hospital.

Norkunas, 51, also reportedly threatened the officers who arrested him by saying, “It would be a shame if your family ended up dead when I get out of jail,” and, “It would be a shame if you or other officers got shot.” He faces several charges, including suspicion of commuting burglary with battery, battery causing bodily harm, and corruption by threat against a public servant.

Mark Anthony Hansen of Hollywood, Florida; Osagboro Khalid Sameem of Davie, Florida; and Romondo Dean Ivey of Miami, Florida were arrested recently for allegedly assaulting a disabled patient at the South Florida State Hospital in 2014. The three men were employed by Correct Care Recovery Solutions, which operates the State Hospital of South Florida. They each face one count of abuse of a disabled adult.

Sameem, 47, was arrested on August 27 and was released on $3,500 bond; Hansen, 54, was arrested on Sunday and released the following day after also posting a $3,500 bond; and Ivey, 34, turned himself in on Monday and was ordered to be held in lieu of a $15,000 bond. It is unclear if he has managed to post bail. News sources did not name lawyers for Hansen and Ivey.
