Scott Allen Stoner of Broward County, Florida Arrested for Sexual Battery on a Minor

Scott Allen Stoner of Broward County, Florida was arrested Saturday after he was accused of sexually abusing two children over an 8-year period, news sources indicate. The victims, relatives of Stoner, were both 4 years old when the alleged abuse began. Stoner, 41, was booked into the Broward County Main Jail on three counts of lewd and lascivious molestation on a victim younger than 12 and one count of sexual battery on a victim younger than 12. He is being held without bail. It is not yet known whether he has hired a lawyer.

The victim who came forward initially is now 15. Her identity has not been made public due to her age and the nature of the crime. The victim purportedly claims that Stoner abused her starting when she was 4 years old. The alleged abuse lasted until the girl was 12. According to reports, the girl is related to Stoner by blood (it is not clear exactly how) and the abuse occurred while the victim was visiting a family member in Hollywood, Florida. The girl claimed that Stoner abused her as many as 30 times.

Reports say that when Stoner was arrested for the abuse against the female victim, a 22-year-old male victim came forward and said Stoner began molesting him when he was four as well. That alleged abuse lasted until the boy was either 10 or 11 years old, sources say. According to reports, during some of those alleged incidents, Stoner would tell the boy “it was time for a Mickey” and then run his hands into the boy’s pockets to feel his privates.

Reports say Stoner has been accused of inappropriate sexual behavior involving minors on several previous occasions. He was arrested in 1993 after he allegedly touched himself inappropriately in the presence of two children, ages 10 and 11. Stoner later pled guilty to charges stemming from that incident in February 1994. A judge sentenced him to two years of house arrest and three years of probation; however, in 1996 he reportedly violated that probation and a judge sentenced him to five years behind bars, reports say.

Stone was arrested again in 1995 after he allegedly made a videotape of himself sexually assaulting his 12-year-old cousin, reports say. That purported incident occurred at a residence in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Stone was charged with indecent assault on a victim under the age of 16 and was, again, sent to jail.

In other news, the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced they are searching for Tavis Jamaar Key of Broward County, Florida in connection with a countywide drug distribution ring, news sources indicate. Key, 32, is wanted on charges of possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute. Investigators say they are offering a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to Key’s arrest, but they also warn that Key may be armed and dangerous. Reports described Key as a 5.5 feet tall, 220-pound African American man with black hair, gold teeth, and brown eyes.
