Maseloin Login allegedly crashed through a Miramar, Florida storefront on Tuesday, news sources report. Login sustained minor injuries in the crash; reports suggest she may have accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal. Thus far, Login has not been charged or cited for the accident. It is unclear whether the store’s owner will file for damages.
According to reports, the accident occurred around 9:30 Tuesday morning at a convenience store at 9051 on Pembroke Road in Miramar. The name of the store was not available in reports; it is located in a plaza with several other stores, including Dunkin Donuts, Allstate, and Food Store, sources suggest. The shop owner’s first name is reportedly Ali.
Surveillance footage of the accident shows Login’s grey sedan pulling into a space in front of the store. As the sedan is pulling in, it suddenly accelerates and crashes through the glass storefront. Ali was behind the counter when the car barreled through the store, sources indicate.
Merchandise flew from shelves and crashed into Ali as he fled, but thankfully, he was not injured. His store, however, sustained severe damage, which may have compromised its structural integrity. “I was shouting ‘Please turn off the engine,’ then she turned off the engine,” Ali later recalled to reporters. “Two or three people came and took her from the car.”
Reports say Login sustained only minor injuries in the crash. “I’m shaken up, but I’m OK,” Login reportedly said afterwards. Login reportedly said she was going to the store to buy a soda and may have accidentally stepped on the accelerator rather than the brake pedal.
Drivers do sometimes lose control and crash into buildings. Last week, A West Hollywood private school sustained damage in an alleged hit-and-run crash, reports say. The damage to the building appears to have been caused by a car, but the driver has not been located. It is unclear whether there will be any charges or citations pending an ongoing police investigation.
Reports say they accident happened at West Hollywood Private School on South 62nd Avenue in Hollywood. The private school has a large campus with an in ground pool. So far, no school officials have released a statement regarding the crash.
A school employee arrived at the school Wednesday morning and discovered that the front of the school was damaged. A brick wall, along with an air conditioning unit, showed signs of a crash, sources say. No one appears to have been in the school at the time of the collision.
Based on reports, the accident may have occurred Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. It remains to be seen whether the damages cause any structural problems that would prevent the school from operating normally. Although the damages left the inside of the school exposed, nothing seems to have been stolen from within.
