Leandro Mlodziejewski was arrested on July 10 for allegedly raping a teenage girl in a Publix restroom.
Mlodziejewski, 28, is charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior in the presence of a minor and two counts of sexual battery against a minor. He is being held in the Broward County Main Jail on $200,000 bond. If he posts bail, he will be required to wear an ankle monitor and surrender his passport, as he is a U.S. citizen who was born in Argentina and is deemed a flight risk. Attorney information was not available.
According to the arrest report, the alleged assault occurred on July 7 at around 9:15 p.m. at a Publix family restroom on the northeast side of Young Circle in Hollywood. Mlodziejewski picked up the 17 -year-old victim and two others at her house and then drove to Publix to buy food.
At the store, Mlodziejewski led her to the restroom, pushed her against a baby changing table, and sexually assaulted her, the report says. He reportedly tried to record the encounter with his cellphone and the victim was able to push him off and leave the restroom.
Mlodziejewski caught up with her outside the store and told her to “act normal” or he’d post the video on the internet, she told police. He then reportedly forced her to kiss him in front of other customers.
Afterwards, they drove to North Beach Park, where Mlodziejewski allegedly attempted to have sex with the victim once again, but she refused. He then drove the victim home without incident, the report said.
The Publix incident wasn’t the first time Mlodziejewski is accused of sexual assaulting the victim. Police said Mlodziejewski befriended the 17-year-old victim and her friend, 16, around two weeks ago and bought them alcohol. He allegedly sexually assaulted the two girls on a seawall along the Intracoastal Waterway a week before the Publix incident on June 27.
The 15-year-old sibling of one of the girls was present during the incident and unsuccessfully attempted to intervene, the report said. The girls told police they believed Mlodziejewski drugged their drinks.
Another rape incident involving a minor was reported in Lake Worth on July 6. Amilcar Morales-Aguilar was arrested on July 1 for allegedly raping an 11-year-old. He reportedly recorded the incident and threatened to show the footage to the victim’s mother.
Morales-Aguilar, 34, was arrested on one count of sexual assault on a victim under 12 and two counts of sexual battery on a victim under 12. He is being held without bond at Palm Beach Count Jail. The press did not name an attorney for him.
According to the police report, Morales-Aguilar met the victim at a church three years ago when the child was 11 years old. He repeatedly asked the victim to come to his home in Lake Worth. When the child agreed, he purportedly sexually assaulted the 11-year-old and recorded it.
Morales-Aguilar then texted the victim the next week and threatened to show the video to the victim’s mother unless the child returned to his home. The child complied out of fear and Morales-Aguilar repeatedly raped the child over the next two years. When questioned by investigators about the allegations, he told them that the encounters were consensual, the report said.
