It remains unknown whether she has qualified for bail bond or retained a private criminal defense lawyer.

According to press reports, the car accident occurred at approximately 11 p.m. on Wednesday near the intersection of Clubhouse Drive and Palm Harbor Parkway in Palm Coast. Comfort consented to a brethalyzer test, which allegedly showed that she had three times the legal blood alcohol limit for operating a motor vehicle. She was subsequently arrested. It is not known what explanation Comfort offered for the alleged collision.

The financial damage caused by the alleged altercation was $1,000 to the patrol car and $1,500 to Comfort’s own vehicle. It is not clear who will be covering the damages. Comfort has not commented publicly on the allegations, and it is not known how she plans to proceed with the case.

News sources indicate that the truck accident occurred at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, on a stretch of Interstate 95 near State Road 44. McClain allegedly fell asleep behind the wheel and rear-ended the other truck, which was driven by Leonel Vasquez-Suarez, 56. The onion trailor then detatched from the truck, spilling its cargo. Vasquez-Suarez was unhurt; however, McClain was trapped inside of his semi cab, which sustained significant damage. He ended up having to be extracated from the smashed cab by emegency workers and taken to Halifax Hospital, where he was reportedly treated for non-life threatening injuries, inlcuding a broken femur and ribs. It is not known when he will be able to leave the hospital.

The financial implications of the accident are still unknown. The extensive cleanup apparantly included removing the onions and diesel fuel as well as repairing damange to the road. The semi trucks and trailors also sustained damage. It is not known what companies own the trucks and cargo.
