Christian Malo, a part-time South Florida resident with an Oakland Park address, is accused of exposing himself to two women and their young children on Pompano Beach. He was arrested last Thursday and is being held in Broward County jail in lieu of a $40,200 bail bond. News sources did not specify whether Malo had acquired an attorney.
Malo, 60, allegedly displayed and fondled his genitals in front of the women and their children on Thursday, March 10 at 50 North Pompano Beach Boulevard. According to the police report, Malo was dressed in a t-shirt and black shorts. He allegedly sat on the sand near the women and their two kids, ages 4 and 5, before purportedly exposing his sexual organs.
The women reportedly told police that they saw Malo’s penis several times beneath the hem of his shorts. When Malo saw the women looking, he allegedly covered himself temporarily before exposing it again.
One of the women also accused Malo of masturbating in public in view of the children. The police report states that the women reported the incident to a lifeguard, who confronted the 60-year-old. Malo purportedly tried to run from the beach at that point. Police arrived at the scene just as lifeguards were detaining him, sources say.
Malo faces four charges: two counts of exposing sex organs in public, and two counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition in front of young children. It is unclear whether a trial date has been set for Malo.
