Brandon Carroll of Hallandale Beach, Florida was arrested last week for allegedly downloading over 60 child pornography images and videos via his girlfriend’s internet. Carroll, 27, allegedly downloaded the files from a file-sharing website that was under surveillance by detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
According to the arrest report filed, Carroll used the internet at his girlfriend’s residence to download child pornography files between December 23 and February 29. The file-sharing website he used was being watched by law enforcement agents, and investigators say 63 illegal files were downloaded to Carroll’s computer. Law enforcement purportedly traced the activity back to a residence where they found Carroll.
Carroll had shared the residence with his girlfriend from July 2015 until the beginning of March 2016, he reportedly told investigators. He was served a search warrant last Thursday, when investigators asked him whether he had any child pornography on his computer. Carroll allegedly said, “It’s there,” before asking that an attorney be present for any further questioning.
News sources say detectives allegedly found at least 30 child pornography files in the trash file on Carroll’s computer. The files are said to show girls between the ages of four and eight engaging in sex acts by themselves or with others.
