He then allegedly backed up and crashed into another palm tree.Eyewitnesses claim to have heard the child crying as he slipped forward and hit his face on the vehicle’s dashboard during the crash. The report says the boy suffered a bloody mouth in the accident.
Witnesses told police that Myers parked his car in a driveway near his apartment once he managed to control his vehicle. One of the witnesses reportedly watched the child until authorities arrived.
Deputies who arrived on the scene reportedly found Myers sitting in a garage. Myers was reportedly disoriented and appeared to be drunk. Deputies claim he had the odor of alcohol on his person, but when questioned, he denied crashing the car.
