Rafael Negron of Miami-Dade, Florida Charged With Sexual Battery on a Minor

Rafael NegronRafael Negron of Miami-Dade, Florida has been arrested and faces charges for five counts of sexual battery on a minor and five counts of engaging in sexual acts with a familial child. News reports did not specify a lawyer or provide information on whether bail has been set for Negron.

According to police reports, this is the second time Negron, a 64-year-old taekwondo instructor, has been arrested this year. He was arrested in January for allegedly engaging in sexual acts with two teenage sisters who were students at his taekwondo school (RN Taekwondo on 188 NW 36th Street) for five years.

Negron was arrested again after another teenage girl came forward with fresh allegations of sexual abuse, sources allege. The abuse purportedly took place when the victim was a student at Negron’s taekwondo school. The teen told detectives that Negron allegedly assaulted her when she was 10 years old and continued to do so for five years.

The girl claims Negron started performing oral sex on her after she had been his student for four months, sources allege. Over time, the teen claims Negron purportedly started having sex with her and eventually started paying her money. The alleged victim told police that Negron gave her $40 at first, which he eventually increased to $100 a week.

The girl reportedly came forward with these allegations after she found out that Negron was arrested on January 1 this year. During that arrest, Negron was charged with one count of lewd and lascivious exhibition and two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation for alleged victimizing two sisters who were his students.

The mother of the two sisters called the police and had Negron arrested after she found inappropriate messages he allegedly sent to the older sister’s phone. The initial arrest report says Negron reportedly texted the elder sibling when he felt lonely. He allegedly invited her to his home and offered to be her “sugar daddy.” Detectives at the Miami Police Department believe more victims may come forward in the coming months, reports suggest.
