Wayne Durham, Charles Gregory Hardge, and David Farrior of Hollywood, Florida Arrested for Drug Operation

Wayne Durham, Charles Gregory Hardge, and David Farrior of Hollywood, Florida were arrested for at a suspected drug house that police raided on Wednesday, news sources report. Durham, 52, allegedly ran the drug house; he was booked into the Broward County Main Jail on charges of possession of Xanax, possession of cannabis, possession of heroin and cocaine with intent to sell, and structure/convey known for sale of drugs. Hardge, 47, and Farrior, 38, were booked into jail on unspecified drug charges. It is unclear whether any of the defendants qualified for bail bond. The press did not specify criminal defense lawyers for the men.

According to reports, the suspected drug house is a rental with a picket fence and well-kept lawn located on Plunkett Street in Hollywood. Eric Vatel, the homeowner, reportedly said he rented the bungalow home to a couple several months ago. Vatel claimed the couple had good credit and no prior criminal history. It was not until later that Vatel learned the couple had subleased the house to a group of people, including Durham, sources allege. Vatel reportedly said the home’s private setting behind foliage a distance away from the road make it a “perfect location for a drug house.”

Based on reports, Durham has a history of arrests in Florida. Sources say Durham has previously served four different prison sentences and has spent around 16 years behind bars. He was arrested recently on charges of possessing cocaine, for which he is currently out on bail. It is not clear whether his prior arrests will affect his ability to be granted bail in this case.

It is not known when police began investigating the drug house. Between July 29 to August 21, as part of the investigation, an informant purportedly purchased heroin and crack cocaine from the location on three occasions. Reports did not specify who sold the informant the drugs.

After obtaining a warrant, the Hollywood Police Department stormed the house on Wednesday at around noon. Members of the department’s SWAT team led in the raid, along with a drug-sniffing dog, sources say. The group uncovered heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana, and Xanax, as well as a crack pipe. Detectives also located around $2,500 in cash and a .357 Magnum revolver and ammunition.

Durham, Hardge, and Farrior were reportedly arrested on-location during the raid. Later on in court, a police detective spokesperson alleged that Durham had been using the home as a “narcotics transaction location.” It is not clear whether anyone else was involved in the alleged drug operation or if more arrests will follow.

Camilo Amaya, who lives next door to the alleged drug house, reportedly said he was not surprised by this news. Amaya said he frequently witnessed lots of vehicles coming and going from the suspected drug house. On one occasion, Amaya parked in front of the drug house, and Durham allegedly came outside and asked him to park elsewhere. “He told me he needed the spaces, because he had a lot of people coming in and out,” Amaya reportedly told reporters. “It was no secret what was going on.”
