Brigette Robinson of Pembroke Pines, Florida was arrested Monday after she was accused of yanking her husband’s genitals during an argument, news sources report. Robinson, 30, was booked into the Broward County Main Jail on charges of domestic battery and for violating the terms of her probation. She was ordered to be held without bail bond for the probation violation. The press did not specify an attorney for Robinson.
Robinson reportedly has two children of unspecified age. It was not clear how long she and her husband have been married. This is not Robinson’s first run in with the law: reports say she is on probation for domestic violence and an unspecified drug charge, which was brought to court on Valentine’s Day. The details of that incident were not available at press time.
Robinson was reportedly away from home for a few days prior to the incident. When she returned, she and her husband apparently started fighting. A fight apparently became physical when Robinson seized her husband’s privates with enough force to leave injuries. “It says you grabbed your husband by the genitals and began to pull,” a Broward County Judge reportedly stated in court. It is not clear where Robinson’s children were at the time.
During police questioning, Robinson reportedly confessed to the act. The husband chose to press charges, but did not want detectives to photograph his injuries, sources say. The husband also declined to offer up a statement to the police, reports say.
Two neighbors apparently reported witnessing the assault through a window. However, Robinson reportedly refuted these claims. “The neighbors, they weren’t there,” Robinson purportedly said. “They didn’t see anything.” Robison is reportedly not allowed near her husband as the case progresses. It is not clear whether she will be allowed to care for her children if she is released from prison pending her trial.
Battery is a crime anyone can fall victim to. Earlier this month, Marathon resident Angela Dawn Specker was arrested after she allegedly attacked a john who had treated her roughly during sex by cutting his arm, sources report. The victim reportedly needed surgery for his injuries. Specker, 37, was booked into the Broward County Main Jail on charges of aggravated battery. It is unclear whether she qualified for bail or hired legal aid.
The incident began on September 4 of this year. The victim allegedly paid Specker $100 to have sex with him that night. During the paid sex, the man allegedly pulled Specker’s hair and slapped her. It is not clear whether either party will face charges related to the exchange, since prostitution is illegal in Florida. It is also not clear whether the man will face charges for allegedly using violence against Specker during the encounter.
On September 5, Specker ran into the victim in Marathon, reports say. Still upset, Specker allegedly whipped out a knife and cut the victim’s forearm. The victim sought treatment at the Baptist Hospital, where he apparently had to undergo surgery. It is not clear whether he admitted to hiring Specker for sex.
