Boca Raton, Florida Accident Sends Two People to the Hospital

A Boca Raton, Florida accident sent two people to the hospital on Tuesday, news sources report. The accident occurred in suburban Boca Raton. Both victims were taken to nearby hospitals; one victim was placed on trauma alert, while the other sustained minor injuries. According to reports, the accident happened at Lyons Road and New England Boulevard in Boca Raton. Lyons Road is a four-lane road whose opposing lanes are separated by a grassy median. New England Boulevard is a three-lane road with a passing lane in the eastbound lanes.

The accident occurred around 10:00 Tuesday morning. While the exact details are not yet known, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue says it arrived on the scene and found an armored vehicle on its side in the road. It is unclear whether any other vehicles were involved in the crash. Paramedics took one victim to the Delray Medical Center; the victim’s condition was serious and paramedics placed the victim on trauma alert. The other victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to the West Boca Medical Center.

Another person was hurt in a rollover accident on Wednesday as well. The accident occurred in Loxahatchee. According to reports, the accident occurred in front of Seminole Ridge High School around 4:45 Wednesday evening. While the details are unknown, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue says a vehicle carrying multiple people rolled over into a pond. Judging by the time of day, the vehicle may have been carrying students home from the school.

When rescue crews arrived, the driver and passengers were already outside of the vehicle. Paramedics took one victim to the Palms West Hospital; the victim sustained minor injuries in the crash. Police are currently conducting an investigation to determine what events led to the accident.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital’s trauma unit following the incident. Police are investigating the crash and it is unclear whether they will file charges.

According to reports, the accident occurred around 7:30 Tuesday evening around South Military Trail and Le Chalet Boulevard. While it is unclear exactly what happened before the accident, police say a vehicle hit a pedestrian in the street. Paramedics rushed the pedestrian to the Delray Medical Center’s trauma facility.
