Miami, Florida Police Officer Injured in Crash, One Suspect Arrested

A Miami, Florida police officer was injured Tuesday in a when a driver collided with her police vehicle, news sources indicate. The officer and the other driver have not yet been identified publicly. The second driver sustained minor injuries and was treated on the scene, but the police officer had to be taken to the Ryder Trauma Center with non-life threatening injuries. Reports say the incident occurred in the morning hours of New Year’s Day, when the Miami-Dade police officer was on patrol along US 1 and Southwest 17th Avenue.
